- Can specify a fixed amount, percentage of an estate, or residual gift after other obligations.
- Donors may designate their gift for general support or a specific project (e.g., animal care, habitat conservation).

Trusts (Planned Giving Vehicles)
- Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs): Provides donors or their beneficiaries with income for life, with the remaining assets benefiting the zoo.
- Charitable Lead Trusts (CLTs): Allows the zoo to receive income for a set period before the remaining funds pass to heirs.
- Revocable Living Trusts: Enables donors to retain control over assets during their lifetime while ensuring future support for the zoo.

- “I devise and bequeath to the Cape May Park & Zoo (c/o Zoo Donation Trust) free of all taxes and other deductions [the residue of my estate/or other type of bequest] to be used for the general purpose of the Cape May County Park & Zoo, and the receipt of a proper officer of said trust shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee.”
