A bequest is a personal gift of great importance and a lasting legacy.
Many people who have visited our zoo hold a life-long love for it - a place that represents their earliest memories of animals, and a place they have visited repeatedly and enjoyed throughout their lives.
Bequeathing a gift to the Cape May County Park & Zoo – no matter what size – ensures that we continue to provide our animals with the highest quality of care and offer our visitors a quality experience that becomes a memory for life.
You should consult an attorney to assist in helping you make the right choice and drafting proper language.

Your attorney may find the following bequest clause helpful:
“I devise and bequeath to the Cape May Park & Zoo (c/o Zoo Donation Trust) free of all taxes and other deductions [the residue of my estate/or other type of bequest] to be used for the general purpose of the Cape May County Park & Zoo, and the receipt of a proper officer of said trust shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee.”
Please be advised this language is only sample language. We strongly recommend that you seek professional guidance from a legal or financial advisor.
